Understanding Glutathione

| January 1, 2019

What is Glutathione?

Glutathione (GSH) is a powerful molecule consisting of three amino acids. These are Glycine, L-glutamate, and L-cysteine. It is a powerful antioxidant and detoxifying agent. GSH offers substantial positive effects on health and biological functioning on a cellular level and as such packs a potent anti-ageing punch!

How do we get enough Glutathione?

Glutathione is created by the liver. Glutathione is an endogenous antioxidant, this means that it has to be made internally. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and unprocessed meats can assist in supporting our bodies to make GSH but they cannot provide it directly.

As we age, production levels decline. This means we lose some of the protection and superhero action of Glutathione.

Gratefully, science has found that we can supplement and accelerate our body’s production of Glutathione to achieve optimal levels and take advantage of the many benefits inherent in GSH.

  • IV Approach

Intravenous delivery of Glutathione has skyrocketed in popularity. Helped along by high-profile celebrity endorsements, Glutathione was simply waiting to shine as the superhero it is. IV delivery of Glutathione can be combined with other vital nutrients that work together to support looking and feeling one’s best. Please note that we are offering IV Skin Therapy on Special at SAI!

Skin Brightening Spotlight

Glutathione can influence the biosynthetic activity within pigment cells known as melanocytes. These cells create melanin through a cellular process known as melanogenesis. Scientific advances in understanding the chemistry inherent in this process have led to new insights on disrupting synthesis and distribution pathways.

Glutathione has been identified as having an anti-melanogenic effect and it is now being used within Aesthetics to restore radiance with IV Skin Brightening Treatments. Intravenous treatments are relaxing, pain-free, require no downtime, and offer a host of additional health benefits to enjoy!

  • Safe to Use: No harsh, harmful agents such as used in bleaching crème’s. Good for sensitive skin.
  • No Negative Side-Effects: Research has not uncovered dangerous or risky physical side-effects to Glutathione supplementation.
