Cutera Laser Treatments
Cutera at SAI
In the last issue we discussed all the technological advancements and intricacies of the Palomar Laser platform available at SAI Sandton. As you all know the modus operandi at SAI is to offer patients the most comprehensive treatment menu available, and this means more than a single laser platform.
That is why SAI Waterkloof boasts the Cutera Platform as their laser of choice. This means that should you wish or your skin requirements dictate – either Dr Marks or Dr Clark will have access to a second laser platform to fulfil you aesthetic desires.
What are the differences and what exactly can Cutera Laser offer patients?
You may just discover the treatment you have been dreaming of, that perhaps you didn’t even know existed or you may simply enjoy discovering all that the laser treatments at SAI can offer you. Read on to find out more about Cutera or read the Shedding Light on Laser part one to discover more about Palomar.
Laser Genesis Skin Therapy
Cutera at SAI Waterkloof offers Laser Genesis Skin Therapy to combat everyday signs of visible age. This includes chronological ageing and environmental ageing from sun damage and lifestyle choices.
Being that Laser Genesis Skin Therapy is proven to help the body produce new collagen in the skin it is perfectly suited to treat:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Skin redness
- Skin texture
- Minor scarring
Laser Genesis utilises non-invasive technology to create a comfortable treatment with no downtime – this technology heats the upper dermis just below the skin surface to stimulate collagen synthesis. For subtle results with minor skin corrections the Laser Genesis is the perfect platform.
Cutera Pearl
The Cutera Pearl is possibly one of the most used laser platforms at SAI Waterkloof, simply because it is both incredibly effective in achieve fantastic results and extremely comfortable and safe for the client.
Dr Marks and Dr Clark use Pearl to:
- Smooth skin
- Reduce wrinkles
- Remove superficial fine lines
- Improve skin texture
- Reduce visible sun damage
Pearl by Cutera uses a unique laser wavelength close to that of YAG devices. But Pearl is only mildly ablative meaning it only partly affects the surface of the skin – this means a fine layer of the skin is removed during treatment but the majority of skin is left intact to help protect the actual treatment area below.
Pearl treatments will require a few days social downtime but nothing extensive. In most cases a Friday treatment will have you back in the office on Monday.
Cutera Pearl Fractional
The Pearl Fractional laser is an ideal platform for patients with medium to aggressive photoageing and skin damage. The beauty of the Pearl Fractional laser is that you can achieve significant results in a single treatment. The downside, however, is that you will require a few days downtime.
At SAI Waterkloof, Dr Marks and Dr Clark use Pearl Fractional for:
- Deep wrinkle correction
- Smoother skin
- Even complexion
The single treatment results is down to the 2790 nm wavelength and large 300 micron spot size. This means enough tissue can be treated in a single pass. Patient comfort is of the utmost priority at SAI and they opted for Pearl Fractional due to its advanced controlled thermal zone that minimizes discomfort and risk of complications.
Pearl Fractional essentially achieves results by creating a haling cascade in the skin which increases fibroblast activity and deep collagen synthesis, this in turn results in a beautiful skin tone and radically reduced visible wrinkles.
Cutera LimeLight Facial
The LimeLight Facial is Cutera’s answer to treat visible ageing caused by mild sun damage and photoageing. The treatment is another non-invasive technological advancement in the treatment of:
- Skin redness
- Facial veins
- Sun spots
- Brown spots
A significant benefit of undergoing a LimeLight Facial is that ones’ skin tone will also be improved upon, creating a perfect complexion. Ideally Dr Clark and Dr Marks use LimeLight for more sensitive areas including the face, neck and décolletage, as these areas are not only sensitive but veins and spots are notoriously difficult to treat in these areas.
LimeLight allows Dr Clark or Dr Marks to customize the treatment to suite your specific skin type. This allows them to dial in to your specific needs and the laser requirements needed to treat facial veins, brown spots or red-pigmented areas. A LimeLight Facial requires zero social downtime, and treatments are over within a few minutes. This makes it a perfect treatment option to fine-tune you skin tone for those evening events or as a perfect addition to your skin anti-aging maintenance regime.
The best technology creates opportunities to fulfil our patients anti-ageing desires with little fuss, minimal discomfort and in quick time. Palomar and their OPL technology, plus specific handpieces make that all possible like no other platform available on the market today.
