Cellular wounds cause visible age

Healing Age

The use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in wound healing is nothing new. The sports sciences have used these techniques for years to help improve sports injury recovery times. It is only recently however that the aesthetic industry has looked upon ageing as a form of cellular “wounds” that can be treated and healed. As such, we turned to tried and trusted techniques of PRP to reduce visible age.

As we age our cells slowly weaken and die. This cellular ageing is a natural occurrence; but what if we could slow this cellular ageing or reverse it completely? The theory is that if we inflict minor damage to the skins cellular network, then flood the area with plasma and growth hormone the wounds will be healed, the aged cellular damage will be reversed and the surrounding cells will also benefit. The clinical results were unanimous and SAI introduced Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) as a skin rejuvenation option for their patients.

When treating the ageing skin with PRP Therapy Dr Clark and Dr Marks at SAI have seen an increase in hyaluronic acid restoring skin plumpness, and also collagen and elastin synthesis creating improved skin elasticity and skin structure. In other words the most complete skin rejuvenating solution to correct even the most damaged skin.

rppThe results mean that you can now activate skin rejuvenation at a cellular level without any foreign substances or implantable materials. At SAI we use PRP to treat:

  • Sun damaged skin
  • Skin texture
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Thinning hair
  • Pigmentation
  • Dehydrated skin
  • Surgical scarring
  • Acne scarring
  • Imporove skin radiance

Explain the procedure

The process involves harvesting plasma, in this case blood from the patient. This is an essential step, as using ones own blood means there is zero chance of negative allergic side effects or reactions. Once harvested, the blood is spun at high speed to separate the plasma required for the treatment protocol. Once harvested Dr Clark or Dr Marks will activate the plasma using treatment specific additives, and it is this activated plasma that is re-injected into the skin for ultimate skin rejuvenation.

The injection technique stimulates the natural healing cascade and the treatment protocol is complete.

Tropocells PRP & CelluVance PRP:

At SAI Dr Marks and Dr Clark have opted for two PRP treatment options. Both Tropocells PRP & CelluVance PRP offer safe and effective treatment results but they do provide minimal variances for the patient. Please speak with either Dr Clark or Dr Marks to help make the correct PRP choice for you.
