Dr Alastair Clark Dr Alastair Clark trains other doctors in this country in the art and science of
aesthetic injection techniques and designs and delivers courses in this
discipline. Dr Clark was installed in October 2007 as one of twenty
international Global Trainers to give instruction internationally. He is the
only South African to have achieved this. Dr Clark is also an instructor of
advaced injection techniques, giving official accredited courses throughout the
year in South Africa.
His interpretation of the aesthetic need and facial assessment, combined with
advanced injection and moulding techniques yield previously unattained results
for non-surgical techniques.
Dr Clark has developed an approach to static (hypertonic) and dynamic
(hyperkinetic) wrinkles, which greatly simplifies the use of fillers
to achieve the patient’s desired goal. He uses his technique to treat anything
from inexpensive lines and wrinkles to Lip enhancement, Nasoplasty. Cheek bone
augmentation, Eyebrow ridge augmentation, Ear lobe rejuvenation, or complete
facial treatments.
Dr Clark has been practising as a general practitioner for 24 years and
previously in surgery and surgical specialities for three years. He was Senior
Consultant at Wedge Gardens Alcoholic Rehabilitation Centre for 15 years and a
Consultant to the South African Brain Research Institute during this time. He
appeared numerous times on television and on radio phone in programmes and has
published a number of journal articles on alcoholism and detoxification. His
particular interests are surgery, cardiology and sports injuries. He is an
honorary lecturer at Wits Medical School’s Department of Family Practice. He
is also the founding partner of Execucare, a company in association with
Sandton Aesthetic Institute, that specialises in performing complete in depth
medical assessments.
He has completed the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology’s Advanced Course
in Diabetes Care, with distinction, and the Foundation for Professional
Development’s course in Practice Management.
He has also completed the official accredited course, the course in
advanced injection techniques, the Liquid Youth certificate course in
filler injection and facial remodelling techniques, the Swedish Q-Med
certificate course in advanced filler techniques, as well as an
